Gene Therapy R&D Partnership with National Academy of Medical Sciences

June 20, 2026

Poseidon signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Institute of Hematology, CAMS, to develop gene therapies for sickle cell anemia and beta-thalassemia, leveraging our ex vivo gene-editing platform.

Under the agreement, the partner hospital will lead clinical study design and implementation, and both parties will establish a joint laboratory to cultivate talent in gene therapy.

Beta-thalassemia is highly prevalent in southern China, where patients depend on lifelong transfusions. Gene therapy offers the potential of a one-time functional cure with significant social value.
